"The pages before you will offer a dose of humour and insights to ease doubts as the golden years approach. Consume liberally."
~ from the foreword by
The Honorable Dr. Lynda Haverstock President/CEO of Saskatchewan Tourism

A caregiver was reading stories to a group of "elders" at my 96 year old father-in-law's retirement home in Calgary, Alberta. It was Martha's book and the seniors were thoroughly enjoying the stories. I spoke to the caregiver to get the name of the book, as my mother is in a continuous care home and I thought that she would also enjoy them. It is difficult to find stories that are short enough for "elders" to sustain their focus and are written about topics that they can relate to and enjoy. Martha's book is also a great read aloud book, which is important as my mother's eyes make reading (even large print), very difficult.
